Draft for the Shelfstead beta · Last updated September 16, 2026

Launch note: This is a product and engineering draft. Replace it with counsel-reviewed terms naming the final operator, subscription terms, dispute rules, and jurisdiction before public launch.

1. Using Shelfstead

Shelfstead helps you organize and reflect on your personal reading. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add and for keeping access to your account secure.

2. Your content

You keep ownership of the library details, notes, quotes, and other content you submit. You grant Shelfstead only the limited permission needed to store, synchronize, display, back up, and support that content.

3. Catalog information

Book metadata, publication dates, series order, and release information can be incomplete or wrong. Treat catalog information as a helpful reference and verify details with the publisher or bookseller when it matters.

4. Beta availability

During beta, features may change, be unavailable, or contain defects. We will make reasonable efforts to protect your data and keep exports available, but the beta is not a promise of uninterrupted service.

5. Subscriptions

If paid features are introduced, the relevant app store will show the price, renewal, trial, cancellation, refund, and billing terms before purchase. The final subscription terms will be linked here before any charge.

6. Respectful use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another person's account, interfere with its operation, or submit unlawful content. We may restrict access when needed to protect people, data, or the service.

7. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected]. The final agreement will identify the legal operator and governing law before release.

Shelfstead

A quieter place for the books you mean to finish.
